Mentorship Program
Our Mentorship program and integrated course has been designed specifically for your first year out of University.
Created by graduates that have been qualified and working as OT's for over a year, they're here to help you with everything you want to know and the things they wish they'd known!
Face to Face
1 x 45 minute session per month with your assigned mentor (either in person or via Zoom). This is confidential and personalised time and is a great platform to raise any questions and seek feedback. We will work with you every step of the way towards your professional and personal goals.
Weekly Articles
We have set this program out in the order of a graduate's transition from student to employee and our weekly articles are timed to be useful, informative and motivating for the stages you are expected to experience in your first 6-12 months.
E-Learning
You will be sent 1 online learning module to complete every 2 months. These are specifically designed with flexibility in mind to fit around your other commitments. We cover topics such as recruitment, industry expectations and compliance, as well as offering detailed insight to the day to day life of an OT.
Paediatric Occupational Therapy
We specialise in Paediatric OT for children aged 12 months
through to late teens.
Our clients have a range of diagnosis
and we work with them to improve their strength,
coordination, communication and all round confidence.
Our mentorship program will likely be a huge benefit to those who have a strong interest in this field of OT.
Our Mentors
We go through each application individually to match you with a mentor whose experience aligns with both your professional and personal goals. Common interests can go along way in helping you feel supported and encouraged throughout this next stage of life.
Each of our mentors graduated University and have been successfully working as qualified OT's for over a year.
6 Month Mentorship - overview
6 x one on one 45-minute mentoring sessions with your OT
1 x article per week sent via Dropbox to read, aimed to help Student achieve outlined goals
Total of 3 x online learning modules to complete over 6 month period
1 x Strengths Profile with results provided
1 x access to private facebook page for Mentor’s and Mentee’s to share experiences
12 Month Mentorship - overview
12 x one on one 45-minute mentoring sessions with your OT
1 x article per week sent via Dropbox to read, aimed to help Student achieve outlined goals
Total of 6 x online learning modules to complete over 12-month period.
1 x Strengths Profile with results provided
1 x access to private facebook page for Mentor’s and Mentee’s to share experiences
1 x 3-hour shadowing with Mentor at the OTFC Group
1 x access to a webinar by Dino Mennillo on ASI Therapy at The OTFC Group
